pine cones - 2 1/2 inches in diameter and 2 3/4 inches
long
(1 pine cone for face, 2nd pine cone for the body) |

sunflower seed (3/4 inches long) for the nose |

paper hole reinforcements for white of the eye |

pieces of pine cone for ears |

grains of Indian corn - for the iris of the eye |

1.
Rinse pine cones. Let dry.
2.
Wire the two pine cones together horizontally one on top of
the other.
3.
Glue the paper reinforcements (for the white of the eyes)
onto the face (top pine cone). Glue the Indian corn on top
of the white of the eye, with the widest part of the corn
at the top.
4.
Glue nose (sunflower seed) with the point down.
5.
Take 2 larger parts of another pine cone for ears. Glue on
top of face.
6.
Glue owl onto a small tree branch.
