Burgers

Burgers
and pizza: two favorite foods for kids. They will love this
one. Serve with carrot and celery sticks for a nutritious
lunch.

pound ground veal |
1/2
cup jarred pizza or spaghetti sauce |

thin slices pepperoni or salami |

Italian rolls, split and hollowed slightly |
| 1
ounce mozzarella cheese, cut into 4 small pieces |

Form ground veal into 4 patties. Make a deep pocket in the
side of each patty. Place one pepperoni slice and one piece
of cheese into each pocket; pinch to seal.

Broil or grill 4 inches to 6 inches from heat source 5 to
6 minutes per side, until cooked through. Make sure the broiler
pan or grill is well greased, so burgers don't stick. Heat
rolls on grill or under broiler during last minute of cooking
time. While burgers are cooking, microwave pizza sauce in
bowl until heated through.

To serve, spoon sauce over rolls and top with burgers. Let
burgers cool slightly before serving.
